When I started skateboarding as a kid, I definitely never thought I’d end up riding something like the Segway One S1 electric unicycle. A friend got ahold of a couple recently, so I went over and took one for a spin. I’ve never ridden any sort of unicycle before, let along an electric unicycle, but the Segway One S1 was recommended as a good choice for beginners.
While it may be a good choice for beginners, it definitely wasn’t easy to ride at first. But before I get to riding it though, a bit about this guy. The Segway One S1 definitely looks the part of a futuristic means of transportation. “Electric Unicycle” makes it sound pretty goofy, but they did their best to make it look cool. A smooth white finish, LEDs, and the build quality almost make it look like an Apple product. The LEDs on the side that are even controllable and customizable with the mobile app. It is still a unicycle though, so the awkward looks and goofiness are still gonna be there and are part of the fun.
